A new virus recently released has been identified. It puts malicious files on the windows system folder, overwrites and deletes some system files thus making your computer unstable and your anti-virus software unable to function properly. The spread of the virus is caused by an email with “Here you have” subject. Once the email is open, it has a masked pdf file link that connects to an external server that hosts the malware. Although, it is reported that the spread has significantly slowed down, there are still users with infected systems that still needs to be repaired. How to Manually Remove W32/VBMania@MM
1. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del, and then choose open Task Manager.

2. Click on the Processes tab then find and locate W32/VBMania@MM. Once you see it, highlight then right click and choose End Task. It will ask you for confirmation just click End Process.

3. Click Start –> Run, type regedit and click OK. User Account Control (UAC) will ask you if you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer, click Yes.
4. Locate the registry key listed below and delete it.
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\W32/VBMania@MM

5. Delete C:\ProgramFiles\W32/VBMania@MM folder.
6. Restart PC and do full systems scan of your anti-virus software to make sure there’s no more infected files left in your computer.
