“PC Scout detected the virus or the harmful program on your computer!
Internet Explorer is infected with worm Rootkit.Win32.Agent.pp. This worm can harm your computer.”

Sadly, your computer just got infected by a malware called PC Scout. This very bad program comes from the same threats known as Active Security, Protection System and CoreGuard Antivirus 2009.

For that last program, let’s tell the whole story. Hackers do enter very legit websites in order to put their own Trojans into the website code (to make a drive by download). So when you are visiting this very nice website, you are pushed to download a program into your computer system. Not really knowing what it is !
Without some very good security tools to protect your computer from this threat or if this malware is a new one, your computer might become infected, without you knowing it at first !
Once on your system, you can be sure this rouge software will re-configure your Registry to boot itself every time you will run your computer. PC Scout remains in the background all the time.
PC Scout will do a fake system scan of your system and it will report lots of fake viruses infections.
Check again the first warning we put at the top. Besides this one, PC Scout can also do the following:
- changing your browser settings. If you cannot update your anti-virus program, run it or even accede online security program, you are really doomed, no ?
- always telling you your computer is really infected (a lot !)
Your Task Manager Registry Editor, System Restore and more tools might not be accessible at all.
You will quickly notice this particular ad telling you to purchase the full version of PC Scout in order to clean your system of all those (fake !) infections !
Do not let make them a fool of you: all those warnings are for but making you buy a full version of PC Scout.
Don’t even think doing it ! PC Scout is a bogus software designed to rob you ! Besides you are exposing your credit card information to criminals. Remember all those infections report are but fake. Don’t fall into their trap.
